Representatives from over 75 countries to participate in the "Inventing the Future" Symposium
The International Symposium "Inventing the Future" will welcome speakers, delegates, artists, and journalists from over 75 countries. The Symposium will serve as the inaugural event for the Russia National Centre, established by order of the President of the Russian Federation.
Renowned scientists, philosophers, futurists, popular science fiction writers, and representatives from business and creative industries from Russia, China, India, Italy, Iran, the UAE, Kazakhstan, Serbia, France, the United States, and other countries have already confirmed their participation.
The "Inventing the Future" Symposium will bring together around 3,000 participants from SCO, BRICS, CIS, and other countries. They will discuss the future of Earth, the impact of technology on society, humanity’s role in the development of civilization, and, most importantly, what the person of the future will be like.
"The International Symposium 'Inventing the Future' will be a platform for dialogue between scientists, science fiction writers, artists, business representatives, and government officials. It is invaluable for the Russia National Centre that its first event has sparked such lively interest. Representatives from over 75 countries have responded to our initiative to create the future together. We are grateful to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and everyone assisting in organizing this important event," said Tatiana Kareva, Head of the Russia National Centre's Department of International Cooperation.
Foreign participants have already begun arriving in Russia. Artists from Brazil, Rafael Bteshe and Monica Da Silva De Queiroz, and the Director and Deputy Director of the School of Fine Arts and Design at Addis Ababa University, Agegnehu Adane Dilnesahu and Usman Hasan Mohammed, have come to Moscow. Special sightseeing programs around Moscow have been arranged for them.
Symposium participants also shared their expectations for the event.
"I believe the International Symposium 'Inventing the Future' will open up a vast space for exchanging ideas on how to shape a society ready for everyday challenges while preserving traditional values," said investigative journalist Vesna Veizovic from Serbia.
"I hope to gain inspiration at the Symposium from people worldwide who envision humanity’s future beyond Western neoliberalism. Our goal is to create a movement that respects traditions and interests, based on mutual recognition and collaboration," emphasized John Molera, Director of Policy and Research at DD Geopolitics, USA.
On July 1, 2024, President Vladimir Putin signed an order to establish the Russia National Centre to preserve the legacy of the RUSSIA EXPO and showcase the country's achievements on a permanent basis.
From November 4 to 6, the Russia National Centre will host the International Symposium "Inventing the Future." The participants will include scientists and researchers, futurologists and forecasters, science fiction writers, and representatives of the authorities.
The Symposium will become a unique international platform for open dialog, where the scenarios of human development and global challenges of our time will be discussed. The program includes more than 60 events in four areas: the future of human, the future of technology, the future of the multipolar world and the future of civilizations.
The event will be attended by scientists, futurologists, government and business representatives from more than 40 countries, including Austria, Argentina, India, China, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and others.
The Symposium program is published on the website https://future.russia.ru/. Broadcasts of the events will also be available there during the days of the Symposium.
As part of the opening of the Symposium, an exposition will be launched that will support the idea of a human-centric dialogue about the future of the world. The exposition will allow each visitor to realize the importance of personal contribution to the future.
Experts will examine the opportunities and risks associated with integrating artificial intelligence into various spheres of life.
Experts from Russia and Symposium participant countries will talk about the effects of multipolarity and other global megatrends.
Experts will discuss the impact of technology on content changes in the future.
