Inspiring reflection: the lithograph "History. Peace" at the "Legacy for the Future" exposition
The final
days of the "Legacy for the Future" exposition, which introduces
visitors of the National Centre RUSSIA to the finest examples of artistic
craftsmanship by young talents from six countries — Russia, China, India,
Brazil, Ethiopia, and Iran, are approaching. In their works, the authors
explore themes that resonate deeply with everyone, with one of the most
significant being the theme of war and peace.
The
lithograph "History. Peace" by young Chinese artist Zhou Shijia
depicts a symbolic collection of books woven from countless stories about war
and peace. By juxtaposing poignant visual imagery with real-world history,
viewers come to understand that wars have brought countless tragedies, while
the pursuit of peace is the dream not only of individuals but of all humanity.
The
textured dove adds an optimistic touch to the artwork. Standing proudly among
the book pages, it inspires hope that a peaceful life will eventually prevail
on Earth.
"The
bird's appearance is so calm and serene that you can't help but share its
belief in a better future," noted Ruslan, a visitor from Moscow.
You still
have until February 2 to reflect on timeless values and become part of the
extensive international dialogue within the "Legacy for the Future"
exposition. And, of course, the authors of the works will be especially pleased
if you leave your feedback in the dedicated guestbook.
Please note that the second floor of the National Centre RUSSIA will be temporarily unavailable to visitors as exhibitions are being changed. Meanwhile, the cultural, educational, and business programs will continue. You can find the latest information about dates and event locations in the "Events" section on the website. Starting in February, the "Hall of Inventions" and "Legacy for the Future" expositions will conclude. In March, after installation and updates, the National Centre will unveil two new expositions: an architectural one and "Journey Across Russia."
