"Vivat, Champions!": accordionists and bayanists from different countries performed for the guests of the RUSSIA EXPO
On June 26, the concert "Vivat, Bayan!" was held
at the Exposition as part of the XXII International Competition of Bayanists
"Vivat, Bayan!". Artists from three countries — Russia, Bosnia and
Herzegovina and Belarus — performed for the guests of the RUSSIA EXPO.
Before the beginning of the concert Merited Artist of
Russia, musician, composer, producer Sergei Voitenko announced that Serafim
Popov from Krasnodar became the laureate of the II degree in the category
"Variety-1" and the laureate of the I degree in the category
"Baby Classics-1".
"We can consider
that Serafim is already a world champion on bayan, because the international
contest "Vivat, Bayan!" has been held in our country for 22 years.
The residence of the contest is in the Samara region, but this year it is held
at the RUSSIA EXPO. The winner of the international competition "Vivat,
Bayan!" is automatically a world champion in playing the bayan," said
Merited Artist of Russia, musician, composer, producer Sergei Voitenko.
The guests of the event enjoyed performances of
accordionists — Arthur Larin, Djordje Peric (from Bosnia and Herzegovina) and
the duet of Daria Sakharova and Alexei Loganov, as well as bayanists —
Vladislav Pligovka from Belarus performed his program for the visitors to the
Exposition.
The XXII International Competition of Bayanists "Vivat,
Bayan!" started at the Exposition on June 25. This year, the participants
will experience eventful competition days in 28 musical categories. The
competent jury — professors of Russian and international higher educational
institutions of musical profile — will choose the best masters of performing
art in younger and older age groups. The competition events will last until
June 29.
The lecture "Come and See: The Feat of Newsreel Cameramen during the Great Patriotic War" took place as part of the "Thursday. Development".
The centre has become the first, unique, and multifunctional exhibition venue in Belarus, operated by the National Exhibition Centre "BelExpo."
On May 8, the audience at the National Centre RUSSIA enjoyed a performance by a combined children's wind orchestra, which launched the festive concert programme.
