Vladimir Putin honours outstanding volunteers of the People’s Front at the National Centre RUSSIA

On 13 July, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted the opening of the "Everything for Victory!" Forum of the People's Front. The event was addressed by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. He congratulated the All-Russian People's Front on its 15th anniversary and wished its members continued work for the benefit of the people and the country.

"For all these 15 years, you have always been at the forefront of the issues facing the country. You manage to identify the points that need attention in order to provide help to specific people, which ultimately means helping the entire country and the entire Russian state. This feedback from people is extremely important for every level of government and for the country as a whole. After all, as far as I know, you currently have 552 presidential instructions under your supervision... <…> And these instructions do not come from nowhere — they come from people, from their problems, from what they face and what they try to overcome in life. These instructions come from here," said Vladimir Putin.

The head of state added that the People's Front has united more than 20 million citizens of the Russian Federation. According to him, people voluntarily, of their own accord and trusting the People's Front, have contributed nearly 70 billion roubles to support the special military operation. He emphasised that it is precisely this unity and cohesion that are the key to future victory.

He also presented awards to representatives of the People's Front who had performed outstanding deeds and made significant contributions to supporting participants in the special military operation and civilians.

During the forum, the President awarded the laureates of the special "Everything for Victory!" nomination, recognising their courage, dedication and compassion. Awards were given to Anatoly Vasilchenko and Viktor Taraskin from Starobelsk in the Lugansk People's Republic, who, during shelling, saved children by sheltering them in a security room and then helped evacuate them from a burning building while providing first aid to the wounded. Among those honoured was 19-year-old Shamil Ustarbekov from Kaspiysk, who, during severe flooding in Dagestan, risked his own life to rescue 23 people from the raging waters. The Pozhyarskas family from the Amur Region — parents Yulia and Andrius and their sons Ilya and Sergei — also received an award. This military family actively supports the front: they organise humanitarian aid collections, procure necessary equipment for soldiers, support the "Everything for Victory!" foundation, and the children, together with their parents, take part in volunteer activities and donate their own funds to help the country's defenders.

The People's Front forum is timed to mark the fourth anniversary of its work under the motto "Everything for Victory!". In the summer of 2022, the People's Front launched a large-scale initiative that united millions of the country's residents to support participants in the special military operation and civilians in the historic and border regions. During this time, over 150 fundraisers have been opened, with the necessary equipment, machinery and supplies delivered to more than 510 units, and the total amount of assistance provided to residents of Donbass, Novorossiya, the Kursk and Belgorod Regions has exceeded 69.6 billion roubles.

The forum's participants include volunteers, representatives of the People's Front and the People's Regiments, military medics, public figures, opinion leaders, experts and journalists who help unite people in support of the front. The event also features individuals who have performed heroic deeds in civilian life, representatives of businesses and large companies that provide substantial assistance to participants in the special military operation and contribute to the country's development, as well as employees of federal executive bodies who are jointly implementing large-scale humanitarian initiatives.
