"Vologda" syrniki and "Pskov Morning" omelet: a menu inspired by Russia
Spiritual nourishment is undeniably the most important, but discussing theatre or exposition impressions over tea and sandwiches can be just as enjoyable. It’s no wonder the popular saying goes, "Theatre begins with the buffet." At the National Centre RUSSIA, everything is arranged so that even a quick snack between exploring the items becomes an opportunity to gain new insights, emotions, and impressions.
The buffet offers more than the usual toast, salads, buns, juices, and lemonades. Here, visitors can taste dishes inspired by Russian regions — such as the "Pskov Morning" omelet or "Vologda" syrniki (kind of Russian cheese fritters). With the opening of the holiday season, the menu now includes bagels and traditional buns ("vitushki"), crafted exclusively for the Centre. These unique baked goods are best enjoyed with additions like healing natural honey, rich chocolate spread, or fragrant jam.
The buffet at the National Centre is the perfect spot for a relaxed continuation of discussions about science and art. Guests can also sit down to try artisanal chocolates, gingerbread cookies, and other delicacies available for purchase nearby in the Department Store area.
