On January 20 at the RUSSIA EXPO, the talk show "Demography: Challenges and Trends. How is the Attitude to Large Families Changing?" was held as a part of the educational program of the All-Russian Family Forum Dear – Loved Ones, which opens the Year of the Family. The event was organized by the Russian Society "Knowledge", the general partner of the RUSSIA EXPO educational program.
Mikhail and Tatiana Sorokins’ family has 85 children, and only two of them are the couple's biological children. Most of the children are adopted, and many of them have disabilities of different groups. "My husband and I did not plan and did not choose anyone, we did not call anyone specially, the children themselves came to us. My oldest child is 53 years old, my youngest, a girl, will turn ten tomorrow," said Russia's most famous mother of many children, Tatiana Sorokina.
She admitted that she remembers the names of absolutely all her children and does not confuse them. "I know all of them. Name, surname, patronymic, date of birth... Their wives, husbands, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law - all call me mom," said Tatiana Sorokina.
"I realized one thing - when I want to help my child, I always succeed. It is a power from above that helps me. Don't be afraid to take foster children. Yes, they are initially afraid of everything, they remember the past life. But when you show them that they will feel good here, no one will hurt them, they will always be helped. Yes, before that it is very hard with them. But the God Almighty helps and everything gets better, everything becomes well," added Tatiana Sorokina.
