Khorovod of peoples brings Yugra residents together on Russia Day
An interactive performance, "Khorovod of Unity", was held in Khanty-Mansiysk on 12 June as part of the festive programme of the National Centre RUSSIA in Yugra. More than 100 artists from the city’s leading creative groups and representatives of Yugra’s national and cultural associations took part in the large-scale event.
Wearing traditional costumes of different peoples, they joined together in a large khorovod, which became a symbol of friendship, mutual respect and unity among residents of the multi-ethnic region.
Yugra remains a territory where representatives of dozens of ethnicities live in peace and harmony, cultural traditions are preserved and good-neighbourly relations are strengthened. This was the idea reflected in "Khorovod of Unity", which brought together people of different ages, professions and cultures at one venue.
The large circle that united the participants became one of the brightest events in the Russia Day festive programme in Khanty-Mansiysk and a vivid embodiment of the unity of the peoples of our country.
