"The whole country is behind you": over 1,000 letters to the frontline were written by visitors of the National Centre RUSSIA
The National Centre RUSSIA continues the #LETTERTOAHERO campaign, organized in collaboration with the "RT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes" festival, which began on February 23. As part of this initiative, more than 1,000 letters filled with words of support and gratitude have already been collected for servicemen of the Special Military Operation. In the coming days, the next batch of these heartfelt messages will be handed over to the campaign's partners — representatives of the RT.Doc documentary channel — for further delivery to military units.
The #LETTERTOAHERO campaign, launched on Defender of the Fatherland Day, is carried out by volunteers of the National Centre RUSSIA. Anyone can write their message to the frontline on a special form. The main goal of the initiative is to support servicemen on the frontlines, boost their morale, strengthen their connection with the home front, and remind them of the gratitude of their fellow citizens.
"This campaign is not just words on paper, but a sincere 'thank you' to those who stand guard over peace and security. When I was writing my letter, I realized that these words could become real support for soldiers who are far from home in difficult conditions. I believe that everyone who receives such a letter will feel that the whole country stands behind them, and this will help them move forward toward victory," said Alina Sapronova, the author of one of the letters.
Participants of the campaign fold their letters into triangular shapes and place them in a special container located at the entrance to the "Journey Across Russia" exposition. Each time the container fills up, volunteers from the National Centre RUSSIA hand over the letters to the RT.Doc team, which, through RT’s documentarians and war correspondents, delivers them to the frontline. The #LETTERTOAHERO campaign continues daily.
