"The Hall of Inventions" at the National Centre RUSSIA reveals the secrets behind the emergence of new technologies
The exposition of the Hall of Inventions at the National Centre RUSSIA covers different periods of the development of the finest domestic engineering thought, from days past to the present, and visitors first find themselves in the "laboratory" of a scientist-inventor from the year 1650.
It turns out that the best Russian minds of the past, just like their contemporaries, were largely inspired by the bold ideas of science fiction writers. For instance, one of the most important inventions that first appeared on book pages and only much later in reality was the "Vostok" carrier rocket, which ushered in the era of manned spaceflight. It was first described in the distant year of 1650 by Cyrano de Bergerac in the work " The Other World: Comical History of the States and Empires of the Moon." A model of the famous rocket, taken from the pages of this great book, is presented in the exposition. It was this rocket that, on April 12, 1961, took the spacecraft carrying the first conqueror of space, Yuri Gagarin, into orbit.
In the Hall, curious guests will also find many other great inventions inspired by literature. Visitors can explore the expositions of the National Centre either independently or with a guided tour led by a professional guide. To receive free tour accompaniment, simply register on the website russia.ru or approach the information desk at the National Centre. Captivating journeys through the expositions start every 15 minutes.
The National Centre RUSSIA invites everyone to visit every day except Monday, from 10:00 to 20:00. Welcome to a world where the cultural legacy of the nation seamlessly intertwines with technology!
