"People here know how to create beauty": Namibian reporter praises the atmosphere at the National Centre RUSSIA
At the National Centre RUSSIA, where the International Press Centre is operating during the third Russia–Africa Summit, foreign journalists continue to share their impressions of the venue. Frances Ndamona Shaahama, a senior reporter with the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), said that the National Centre RUSSIA impresses with more than just its scale and functionality.
"First of all, it is beautiful here. As you walk through the space, you get a real sense of aesthetic harmony and order. It is simply amazing how people in Russia know how to create such beautiful things and appreciate beauty. I also really like the many open spaces here. They make it feel comfortable, and although we are here for work, I often find myself feeling as though we are on holiday," said Frances Ndamona Shaahama.
The visitor from Namibia said that this was her first visit to Russia. Previously, her knowledge of the country had been limited to the fact that her fellow Namibians study here and that Russia has established itself as a reliable partner in nuclear energy. Frances Ndamona Shaahama also spoke enthusiastically about the "Journey Across Russia" exposition at the National Centre, noting that, in a short time, she had been able to appreciate the country's incredible cultural diversity, impressive natural landscapes, rich history and advanced technologies. She added that, as a keen traveller, she had been inspired to explore our country's tourism potential further in her work as a journalist.
The International Press Centre for the two summits at the National Centre RUSSIA continues to operate around the clock until 30 October. Around 1,700 media representatives from 70 countries have been accredited for the summits.
Joseph Phiri, a journalist with the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation, admitted that he had fallen in love with our country.
Russia offers African countries a partnership of equals founded on sovereignty.
