Ivanovo region
The Ivanovo region is a pearl of small towns. Alexander Ostrovsky compared the neighborhoods of Kineshma to Switzerland and Italy, while Plyos inspired Isaac Levitan to paint the best landscapes. Since old times Palekh has been famous as a center of icon painting, distinguished by incredible details of images. The region has a well-developed transportation network, including highways, railroads, airlines, as well as the navigable Volga River.
At the RUSSIA EXPO the Ivanovo region presents its achievements in various fields - industry and agro-industrial complex, transportation, infrastructure, science and culture. The region's stand is called "Small Towns of Ivanovo Region. Transformation". Each of the towns and villages has its own unique history and traditions, and each location of the stand is connected with the theme of development of small territories of the region.
The central installation is dedicated to the modernized transport infrastructure of the region.
At the stand you can ride a bicycle along the landscaped embankments of beautiful Volga cities. Or "travel" to winter Shuya to the famous festival "Russian Christmas".
In addition, visitors to the stand can create their own textile print with the help of patterns developed by Ivanovo designers especially for the RUSSIA EXPO.
The exposition is completed by an interactive map of small towns in the Ivanovo region. On the screen you can select a town and watch a video about the most important and interesting events there.

Big changes in small towns: Ivanovo Region Day at the RUSSIA EXPO
For the first time in history, the region is exporting grain - there was a record harvest in 25 years here. The number of large families in the Ivanovo region has grown by a third in five years. The region has become the leader in the Central Federal District in terms of investment growth, and in 2020 it will be among the top ten in the country.

To see the beauty of the native land: Ivanovo volunteers at the RUSSIA EXPO
Volunteers of the Ivanovo region became participants of the International Forum of Civic Participation #WEARETOGETHER. It is held from December 4 to 8 in Moscow and is part of the RUSSIA EXPO.
