Tyumen region
Tyumen region is a territorial entity of Russia in the south of Western Siberia, part of the Urals Federal District. It is one of the most comfortable regions of the country. The history of Russian Siberia begins with the campaign of Ataman Yermak. In 1582, the pioneer Cossacks won a decisive battle with the army of Kuchum Khan. In 1586 on the Tura River the construction of the stockade began, which later became the first Russian city in Siberia - Tyumen. In 1587 Tobolsk was founded, which was the center of the region for a long time.
August 14, 1944 is considered to be the beginning of modern Tyumen region. It was then that a new entity with its administrative center in Tyumen was formed.
The discovery of hydrocarbon deposits became an important page in the history of the region. In 1953, gas was discovered near the village of Beryozovo, and in 1960 an oil fountain was discovered near the village of Shaim.
Today Tyumen region is known throughout the country and beyond its borders not only for its natural riches. One of the world's largest oil and gas chemical plants, SIBUR's ZapSibNeftekhim, operates here. The Proteinsib Plant, unique to Russia for the production of pea isolate, has been launched. Industrial goods produced in the region are exported to almost 90 countries. In 2023, Tyumen Region was ranked among the top three in the National Investment Climate Rating.
Comfortable region: in 2022, Tyumen region ranked 3rd in Russia by quality of life, as well as 1st in the Urals Federal District and 3rd in the country by housing commissioning. In addition to federal programs, the region has local programs to support families with children. Among them are 150,000 rubles for the first-born child and 100,000 rubles for the third and subsequent children. Our region is among the top 10 by birth rate among Russian regions.
Tyumen is officially recognized as the thermal water capital of Russia. There are more than 20 mineral water springs in the region, and guests from all over Russia and abroad travel here. In 5 years, 14.4 million tourists visited our region.

New Year tree of the Tyumen region: openwork pipes and carpet panels
