250 years with Russia. The Republic of North Ossetia–Alania
The
flowerbed of the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania symbolizes the centuries-old
commonwealth with Russia — this year we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our
unity. In the center of the landscape composition there is an art object "Fatima Holding the Golden Sun." It is a symbol of the republic, which all its
residents and guests easily recognize. Behind the figure of Fatima there is a gate
of an ancient fortress, from which the history of Vladikavkaz, the capital of
the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, began.
The
composition is decorated with seasonal plants in the colors of the flags of
Russia and Ossetia. The flowerbed is decorated with Draba bryoides, alpine
chickweed, mountain alyssum, tufted saxifrage, anemone, sedum false, gentiana
(gentian), primrose high piano and meadow grass.
The region
has presented at the exhibition as a floral symbol Primula macrocalix
(primrose). It is a perennial herbaceous plant, a species of the Primrose
genus, of the Primrose family. Its generic name comes from the Greek "primus" and means "early". Primula is a light-loving plant, typical for areas with a
predominance of shrub vegetation, as well as for small-leaved, and
light-coniferous forests. It is also found in mountainous and dry meadows or
meadow steppes. Primrose blooms in May-June. It is a medicinal and honey plant.
The species is included in many regional Red Books of Siberia.
Along with the RUSSIA EXPO, the flower festival is also coming to an end.
The "Future in Flowers" festival continues at the RUSSIA EXPO, where unique flowerbeds from all regions of our country can be seen at the "Space" pavilion until July 8.
The RUSSIA EXPO concludes on July 8, and with it, the flower festival will also come to an end.
