The future in perspective. Voronezh region
The exposition stand of the Voronezh region immerses into the world of ecological diversity through the prism of the richest agrarian region of the country. In the center of the exposition there is an innovative cube- flowerbed, in which sections of fertile soils of the region are presented. This allows visitors to visualize why “flowers of the future” — plants capable of adapting to changes and ensuring the sustainability of ecosystems — are born here.
The flower
composition includes: forest anemone, Siberian iris, steppe almond, Sesleria
caerulea, feather grass, mountain cornflower, alpine aster, sage oak, thyme,
max chrysanthemum, mouse-ears, echinacea, juniper horizontal.
Chamomile
symbolizes tenderness and beauty and finds a special place in the hearts of the
inhabitants of the Voronezh region. Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) is
an annual plant of the aster family. In Voronezh region it grows in the wild,
but it is also actively cultivated in private and commercial farms.
