Blooming Kherson and surroundings. Kherson region
The Kherson region is rich in natural resources and is unique due to its location. It is
washed by two seas — the Black and Azov, and is divided into two banks by the
beautiful Dnieper River. Besides, an amazing pink lake Sivash is located in the
region. The endless steppes of the Kherson region smoothly intersect with the
forests.
The floral
composition is based on images of the Kherson steppe, its salt marshes, the
wind that disperses sea waters and, of course, the Dnieper with many creeks -
the capillaries of the earth. In the flowerbed you can see asters, daisies,
coleus and hydrangeas, slender rows of roses and dense rosemary bushes. The
soft blue scattering of seashells symbolizes the sea shores and echoes the
brighter shades of flowers, thus creating spectacular contrasts.
The
sunflower is chosen as the floral symbol of the region. It is interesting that
a sunflower inflorescence is not one flower, but thousands of small ones that
grow according to the principle of the golden ratio. Sunflowers are particularly
sensitive to the sun rays, which allows their heads to turn in order to follow
the sun's path across the sky. Since ancient times, the sunflower has been
considered a symbol of faith and fidelity.
Along with the RUSSIA EXPO, the flower festival is also coming to an end.
The "Future in Flowers" festival continues at the RUSSIA EXPO, where unique flowerbeds from all regions of our country can be seen at the "Space" pavilion until July 8.
The RUSSIA EXPO concludes on July 8, and with it, the flower festival will also come to an end.
