Samara Luka. Samara region
Samara Luka
(lit. Samara Bend) is a unique creation of nature, encompassing more than 1500
plant species. The diversity of microclimatic conditions has allowed relict
endemic plant species to be preserved in the Zhiguli Mountains. The project
fits into the highly relevant theme of ecology today and refers to the
distinctive features of the Samara region — Samara Bend, the Zhiguli Mountains,
and the Volga River.
The
"Samara Luka" project consists of three main parts:
— The Samara Luka National Park and the Zhiguli Mountains are represented by European red pine, mountain pine, boulders, baby's breath, rockrose, spurge, thyme, and bluegrass.
— The bend
of the Volga River is depicted with lobelia.
— On the
opposite bank, the city of Samara and the "Samara Space" museum with
the Soyuz rocket launcher are situated. A floral composition of red petunias,
orange petunias, and white petunias simulates the flames of the rocket launch.
A QR code
is placed on the rocket pedestal, allowing visitors to view elements of
augmented reality on the flower bed.
Along with the RUSSIA EXPO, the flower festival is also coming to an end.
The "Future in Flowers" festival continues at the RUSSIA EXPO, where unique flowerbeds from all regions of our country can be seen at the "Space" pavilion until July 8.
The RUSSIA EXPO concludes on July 8, and with it, the flower festival will also come to an end.
