On 16 September, the ninth episode of the podcast "Russia Speaks" will be released. It will address one of the most discussed topics of our time — artificial intelligence. The episode titled "How Will Artificial Intelligence Change Everything?" was recorded at the National Centre RUSSIA. It brought together experts who work with technology on a daily basis and visionaries who reflect on the place of AI in culture and society.

The ninth release comes as a lively discussion, during which the participants tried to answer questions which concern many people: what artificial intelligence really is, and why it has become widespread exactly in recent years; what myths have been circulating around it; what is the difference between "weak" AI, which helps doctors diagnose and analyze data, and "strong" AI, which remains only a concept so far. The experts have reviewed practical cases of using technology: from geoanalytics provided to select new business points to generative design and creativity.

The experts also paid some attention to ethical issues, such as: whether it is correct to use neural networks to finish up the unfinished works of great authors, how AI affects creative professions, and where the line between an assistant and a full-fledged creator lies. The weaknesses of technology have also been discussed: the "hallucinations" of neural networks, the risk of losing critical thinking skills, and issues of responsibility in critical areas such as medicine.

Among the participants of the discussion were Roman Styatyugin, Director of the VK Predict Centre for Analytical Products; Sergei Vasiliev, film director and visionary; Andrei Kuznetsov, Director of the FusionBrain laboratory at AIRI; and Alexei Shpilman, Director of the "AI for Science" Centre at Sberbank. Each of them shared their views on the future of AI, noting that technology was already becoming a part of everyday life and could change not only the economy, but also culture, education and art.

The new release of the podcast "Russia Speaks" will be available on 16 September on the website russia.ru , as well as on popular podcast platforms.
