On 10 October, the National Centre RUSSIA in Moscow hosted the opening ceremony of the federal stage of the "GosStart.Internships" track, part of the All-Russian programme of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) supporting young civil servants. The two-week federal stage brings together 250 young participants from more than 65 regions of Russia, as well as 10 representatives from the Republic of Abkhazia.

The participants will undertake internships in 37 federal government bodies, including the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Arctic, the Ministry of Agriculture, and others.

"This is the third year in a row that we are implementing our large-scale programme, and for the first time, we are launching the internship stage on such a grand scale — at the National Centre RUSSIA, for which I would like to express my special gratitude. Over the entire course of the programme, more than 8,000 young people have taken part in internships — those who seek their calling, want to grow, and serve their country. And I sincerely want to thank the 37 federal authorities that have accepted interns this year. It’s a great trend, and it’s inspiring!" said Deputy Head of Rosmolodezh Yegor Litvinenko.

For young civil servants, an educational programme titled "Effective State and Municipal Governance" will be held, upon completion of which participants will receive professional development certificates. In addition, meetings with experienced civil servants, training sessions, and workshops by leading youth and non-profit organisations are planned. Each participant will also receive an individual career trajectory plan.

Programme participant and Head of the Organisational Activities Department of the Administration of Gubkinsky (Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area), public assistant to a member of the Federation Council, Muminat Abdulgalimova, said: "GosStart.Internships is the best project for me. It’s my third time joining this journey — to gain real-life communication with top young professionals from across the country and gain valuable public service experience. I want to look into the system from the inside, to understand how professionals — including those from the Investigative Committee — develop their "investigative" logic. I’m looking forward to useful advice that will change my understanding of how government structures work."

Following the federal stage, a ranking of the 50 best interns will be compiled, and they will be recommended for employment in federal government bodies.

Programme participant and Head of the Centre for Rural Youth Development at Don State Technical University Viktor Troitsky said: "I strive to involve young people in agricultural professions and help them become true professionals in their field, and 'GosStart' is a great opportunity to learn from the best. I’m also confident that I’ll be able to inspire more young people to choose careers in the agricultural sector, which will contribute to the region’s economic growth. The main goals of our Centre include improving the quality of training, developing professional competencies, and supporting young specialists — all of which will help build a strong foundation for the agricultural industry. I’ll apply the knowledge gained here to help young professionals develop our country and the agricultural sector."

The closing ceremony of the federal stage of "GosStart.Internships", featuring the award ceremony for the "Best Intern" nomination and the presentation of certificates, will take place on 24 October 2025.

The "GosStart" ("Government Start") programme of Rosmolodezh is implemented jointly with the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, as well as the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region. It aims to increase the attractiveness of public service and develop a talent pool for government agencies.
