Perfumers will create the scent of Russia at the Ministry of Industry and Trade Pavilion "Made by Us" on June 30
28.06.2024
The organizers of Chemistry Day at Pavilion E "Made by Us" have named it "Aromatic Chemistry: Russian Perfumer". The event will take place as part of the new media project "Russian Perfumer", supported by the Department of Chemical Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
Throughout the day, a series of masterclasses will be held for Exposition visitors. Guests will learn about the new course for students at RHTU, "Profession: Perfumer", learn how to "capture a scent" by placing it in a bottle of shampoo, get information on the latest trends in perfumery, make aromatic slimes with their own hands, and even create their own perfumes.
"Chemistry surrounds us everywhere. We just don't realize that at the core of every color, scent, or taste there are chemical compounds, processes and laws. There's nothing more interesting or exciting than the profession of a chemist, especially today, when science has advanced so far, allowing humans to uncover the most profound secrets of chemical elements and compounds. We expect parents with children at our event to tell them about this wonderful profession. In the 'Year of the Family', this is especially relevant," said Arthur Smirnov, Director of the Department of Chemical Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
Participants in the big Chemistry Day at Pavilion E "Made by Us" will visit the chemical class of the children's technopark "Mendeleev Centre", attend a masterclass by students from Mendeleev University, meet a representative of the Russian perfumery brand VDOHNI, and participate in a workshop on making safe toys. Attendees can expect surprises, gifts and unforgettable experiences from their encounter with Big Chemistry.
