Unmanned air transportation and the long-awaited highway to Naryan-Mar: Day of the Nenets Autonomous Area at the RUSSIA EXPO
On the Day of the Nenets Autonomous Area at VDNH a new record was set: Valery Gudyrev, the famous creator of traditional Nenets tambourines, presented the largest tambourine ever made.
The head of the region Yuri Bezdudny spoke about the successes and prospects of the district.
"We are fulfilling one of the main tasks set by the President — to create comfortable living conditions for the northerners. We can talk as much as we want about the development of mineral resources, construction of seaports and gas plants, but the main task will always be to create conditions for a comfortable and quality life for those who live and work in the Arctic. The Arctic is absolutely not a rotational story. That is why we build housing, support families, create a comfortable urban environment and conditions for quality education of the younger generation, develop medicine", — said the Governor of the Nenets Autonomous Area Yuri Bezdudny.
One of the most notable results was the opening of the Naryan-Mar — Usinsk highway, which connected the region with the "big land". The unprecedented facility was built thanks to the assistance of the head of state and the national project "Safe Quality Roads". Now the region is no longer cut off from the rest of Russia, and its residents are spared from the annual shortage of goods during the seasonal thaw.
In the coming year the start of cargo transshipment via the Northern Sea Route is expected. In the future, it is planned to build a port complex and a separate railroad line that will connect it with Sosnogorsk in the Komi Republic.
Other development priorities include the creation of a gas chemical complex, the launch of an unmanned air transportation system, and the development of production facilities in reindeer breeding farms.
The first event to be held at the Russia National Centre, which is being established by the order of President Vladimir Putin, will be the International Science Fiction Symposium and Exhibition "Inventing the Future". The symposium will take place from November 4 to 6.
Tomorrow, the International RUSSIA EXPO will conclude its work. From November 2023 to July 2024, it was visited by more than 18 million guests.
Every day, for eight months, the RUSSIA EXPO delighted guests and gave unforgettable emotions.
