More than 200 thousand people visited the "Alley of Glory" of Russian schoolchildren at the RUSSIA EXPO
The exposition on the achievements of young erudites "Alley of Glory" was opened by the Russian Society "Knowledge" with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation at VDNH in Pavilion No. 57 "Russia — My History". It was visited by more than 200 thousand people.
More than 100 original awards are presented on the "Alley of Glory" of Russian schoolchildren. They were won by children from different regions of our country at international Olympiads in mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, geography, astronomy and astrophysics, as well as in natural sciences among juniors. In total, Russian schoolchildren have won 859 medals over the past 20 years, 468 of them top medals.
"We are very pleased that the exposition on the victories of Russian schoolchildren at international Olympiads has generated such interest among visitors to the RUSSIA EXPO. Over 3 thousand people have seen the children's awards every day for two months. I am sure that these achievements cause not only pride, but also prove that our country creates all conditions and opportunities for everyone to realize even the most daring dreams. "Alley of Glory" continues its work, so come to the exposition for inspiration and set yourself high goals — nothing is impossible," said Dmitry Rybalchenko, First Deputy Director General of the Russian Society "Knowledge".
Let us remind you that the "Alley of Glory" of Russian schoolchildren in Pavilion No. 57 "Russia — My History" was opened two months ago. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergei Kravtsov and Director General of the Russian Society "Knowledge" Maxim Dreval.
In addition, the "Knowledge" Society opened an "Alley of Glory" of Russian athletes at the RUSSIA EXPO. The first steles were personally inspected by Russian President Vladimir Putin. In total, the Exposition presents about 90 name steles with almost 600 genuine gold medals of outstanding Russian athletes. "Alley of Glory" of sports achievements is located on the right and left sides of Pavilion No. 1, near the main entrance to VDNH.
The event
is organized by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and
the Arctic, with support from Norilsk Nickel PJSC and the Rosatom State
Corporation.
