More than 4.8 thousand schoolchildren and students from the Kostroma region visited the RUSSIA EXPO
At a weekly regional meeting, even before the opening of the forum, Governor Sergei Sitnikov set the task of organizing trips for schoolchildren, students and social activists to visit the RUSSIA EXPO.
“The exposition will run for six months, we need to make the most of all opportunities so that as many Kostroma residents as possible can visit the RUSSIA EXPO and get acquainted with the achievements of our region and other regions of the Russian Federation,” emphasized Sergei Sitnikov.
On behalf of the governor, on-site programs at VDNH were organized by the regional department of education. The exposition was visited by 850 students from all colleges and technical schools in the region, as well as 3,980 students from schools in Kostroma, Galich, Antropovsky, Makaryevsky, Kadysky, Kostroma, Neysky, Nerekhta, Oktyabrsky, Pyshchugsky, Sudislavsky, Chukhloma and Sharinsky districts.
“We often go on trips as a group. But the excursion to VDNH is the most memorable. At the RUSSIA EXPO we felt like real travelers who had visited all corners of Russia. In just a few hours we got acquainted with the most outstanding achievements of our country. It's amazing that they are all collected in one place. Visiting such expositions is very informative and useful for young people,” shared the student of the Kostroma Energy College named after. F.V. Chizhova Kirill Zapevalov.
Kostroma residents visited the pavilion with the achievements of the regions, learned about the history and current state of the oil industry, and became acquainted with the activities of the Russian Ministry of Energy and industry companies. The children were presented with modern technologies, scientific achievements, youth projects, etc.
Also, all organized groups went on an excursion to the stand of the Kostroma region. The exposition area is designed after the main achievement of the region - a forest. Stylized interactive trees introduce visitors to the rich history of the region, its cultural traditions, tourism potential and modern achievements. The exposition features jewelry, models of cranes and boats, and auto components produced by regional enterprises. With the help of interactive elements, the children smelled the Kologrivsky forest, walked along the virtual trail of Ivan Susanin and sent a letter to the Kostroma Snegurochka.
“Everything that we, its residents, are proud of, was shown to us in the makeshift forest. Each tree is a separate page in the chronicle of the Kostroma region, its past and present! This is very interesting,” said Maria Yakimova, a student at the Nikolskaya school in the Kostroma district.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is held on the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The event was organized at the VDNH complex in Moscow. All 89 constituent entities of the Russian Federation take part in it.
