Chelyabinsk Governor Alexei Teksler invited to the RUSSIA EXPO
Alexei Teksler, the Governor of the Chelyabinsk region, invited the country’s residents to visit the stand of the Southern Urals at the RUSSIA EXPO
Alexei Teksler recorded a video invitation to the exposition from the territory of the famous Chelyabinsk national park "Taganai", where a large stone river "flows". According to the Governor, the inhabitants of the South Urals are also tough and are distinguished by a special tenacity of spirit.
"During the Great Patriotic War, our region supplied the army with new equipment, weapons, ammunition. It was then that Chelyabinsk became a legendary Tankograd (tank city). In the Southern Urals, thanks to our great countryman Igor Kurchatov, the first industrial nuclear reactor was built, and the country’s nuclear shield was created", — said the head of the region.
At the RUSSIA EXPO, the Chelyabinsk region plans to present itself as a region comfortable for living. This will help to dispel the prejudices of those who associate the Southern Urals only with large-scale production and heavy industry. Science and agriculture, sports, culture and tourism are actively developing here.
During the all-Russian survey "What does the Motherland begin with?", people across the country are answering this question in their own way, opening up the innermost corners of their souls.
Souvenir nevalyashkas (traditional Russian roly-poly dolls), are attracting particular attention, with guests choosing them for their harmonious combination of Russian colour and traditional Chinese symbols.
Under the guidance of artisans, each guest made an unusual souvenir that can become either a personal talisman or a gift with a special story.
