Digital here and now: Russia’s main IT award presented at the National Centre RUSSIA

The best projects by Russian IT companies contributing to the country’s technological leadership were recognised at the National Centre RUSSIA. The awards ceremony for the national IT prize "Digital Solutions" honoured winners in eight categories.

"We live in a time when digitalisation has become not just a norm but part of our daily lives. We fall asleep and wake up with the digital world. The first thing most of us do in the morning is reach for our phones. Work, education, making a doctor’s appointment – everything now happens in real time. Online bookings, digital services and platforms are not about ‘someday’ but about ‘here and now’. They open new opportunities and help our country remain strong and competitive," said Dmitry Grigorenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Chief of Staff of the Government Executive Office.

He noted that digital solutions create new opportunities, making the country stronger and more competitive. Dmitry Grigorenko emphasised that the National IT Award is being held for the first time to celebrate the best projects created by teams rather than individual developers, since the goal of such initiatives is to make people’s lives more convenient. According to him, the award is not about trophies but about tangible results felt by people across the country, and the nominees’ projects have already become examples of meaningful and successful solutions that are transforming reality.

In the first category, "Digital Security", the winner was the "Standard Information Security Solution for Working with Biometrics" developed by the Biometric Technology Centre. In the category "Applications and Software", the award went to Astra Linux for developing and implementing software solutions for businesses and citizens. The company NTC PROTEI won in the category "Innovation in Telecommunications" for its project "4G Mobile Network Core".

The fourth category, "Platform Solution", was won by R7-Office. In the "AI Development" category, recognising the best solutions in artificial intelligence, the award went to Yandex Cloud.

A separate category was dedicated to digital talent development in the IT industry, with the company Algorithmics receiving the award.

The seventh category, "Digital Service", was won by the State Unified Cloud Platform RTK-Data Centre. The final category, "Hardware Solution", recognised MTS as the winner.

The IT Forum "Digital Solutions" is being held for the first time by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media with the support of the Government. The event brings together leading representatives of Russia’s IT business and public authorities for dialogue across all areas of digital transformation. The business programme includes more than 90 sessions featuring over 600 speakers.
