Chuvashia held the Football Day with the participation of Alexander Mostovoi at VDNH

On April 16, Chuvashia's exposition at the RUSSIA EXPO hosted the Football Day. The thematic day was held as part of the work of the venue of the Ministry of Sport of the Republic. Football player Alexander Mostovoi took part in the events. One of the best athletes in the history of the Russian national football team held a public talk and autograph session at the region's stand.
"Chuvashia is a familiar region for me. I have been there twice and was pleasantly surprised by the way I was received. Therefore, when the invitation came to take part in the events dedicated to football, I agreed at once," said Alexander Mostovoi.
The famous footballer talked to the guests of the Chuvash exposition. They asked him various questions: how he came into football, what challenges he faced during his sports career, as well as what experience he gained while playing abroad. Asked how to get children involved in sport today, in the age of artificial intelligence and social media, Mostovoi said: "Many parents start by restricting their children. I was asked today about my favorite childhood toy. It was a ball, and that's probably why I became a football player. So, I think we should at least ask today's kids what they would choose. What are their favorite toys? I myself, by the way, am very interested in what they might answer. I think we should start with a dialog".
There were also quizzes and trivia games at the stand of Chuvashia during the Football Day. For correct answers the participants of the quiz received collectible souvenir 3D puzzles of football stadiums of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. And the winner of the quiz, Evgeny Shugaev, who came to the RUSSIA EXPO from the city of Alapaevsk, won a ball signed by Alexander Mostovoi.
"My family and I came to the RUSSIA EXPO for the first time and while looking through the expositions we saw that there was a meeting with Alexander Mostovoi, a legend of Soviet and Russian football. I couldn't help but attend it and took part in the contest with pleasure," shared Evgeny Shugaev.
Another guest of the stand of Chuvashia, a resident of Moscow Ekaterina Kuchum shared her impressions of the meeting with football player Alexander Mostovoi. She learned about the event from the playbill of events and purposefully came to VDNH.
"I often look at what is happening at the exposition. This time I prepared myself, took a photo for Alexander Mostovoi to sign. I will present it to my dad, because he is a Spartak fan," said Ekaterina Kuchum.
