Design, personal data protection and fighting fakes: exposition guests were told about the secrets of Runet
On Runet Day at the RUSSIA EXPO in Pavilion E, "World
of Digit", guests learned how to fight Internet fakes, clean up personal
data and create successful design.
Alexander Subochev, project manager of "Artemy Lebedev
Studio", explained why design is necessary and what to do if you need it.
"It seems that everything around us is design. In the
common man's perception, design is some kind of decoration, and it is needed so
that "it was ugly, and then became beautiful". But in fact, design is
needed to solve specific problems. For example, you enter the territory of the
RUSSIA EXPO and see the navigation around VDNH. The design of this navigation
should orient you in the space and help you get where you need to go. If it is
good, it is easy to do. If it is bad - it is hard to do," said Alexander
Subochev.
At the event called "Optical Power-up" as part of
Runet Day, the organizers arranged small competitions, and also, all interested
guests of the Pavilion could learn details and ask questions about the advance
of high-speed Internet.
"As the guests of the RUSSIA EXPO are both children and
adults, we decided to organize a small sports competition on a jump rope today.
However, not a simple one, but one made of optical cable. That is, high-tech
fiber-optic cable can be a sports equipment as well. Though today we also spoke
about the direct purpose of this "jump rope" - it can be soldered
into a main line and provide an apartment with Internet, without which we can't
imagine modern life," said Alexander Kulagin, project manager of the
external communications group of the MRB "Center" of Rostelecom PJSC.
Besides, there was a series of lectures on cable
manufacturing and the nuances of the profession of a cable technician. The
Exposition guests were very interested in the real opportunity to try
themselves as a welder of fiber-optic cable, which brings the Internet to every
home.
The performance took place as part of the international Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth."
One of the tracks of the Open Dialogue is "Investments in Human Capital." The pitch session on this topic brought together over 30 speakers.
One of the key topics for discussion within the initiative became "Investments in Connectivity," which attracted 24% of the essay authors about the future of the world.
