"Crimea has long been our, Russian territory. People of different nationalities and religions live there, but we are all Russians. Russia is our huge Motherland, the RUSSIA EXPO demonstrates this. The same thing was symbolized in Soviet times by VDNH, which in my childhood was a symbol of prosperity. It is great that Crimea and Sevastopol are represented at the Exposition, and I am happy that I am related to this region. Crimea is a very significant place for me, a part of my biography. The fact that it is developing and prospering is wonderful!" added the People's Artist of Russia.

Dmitry Kharatyan confessed to the guests of the Exposition that he has loved Crimea since childhood. The artist told about the creation and prospects of development of the Festival of Children's and Family Cinema "Sunny Island" in the Republic. He also noted the fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea in the field of development of the film festival movement.

"For me, this is a place of strength, creativity, recreation. A lot of films were shot in Crimea, including in Yevpatoria, where our Festival of Children's and Family Cinema "Sunny Island" takes place. We conceived it back in 2014 and until now, despite all the difficulties with transport and other things, we hold it every year, pleasing Crimeans and guests of the peninsula. If you visit Yevpatoria at the end of August, you will be able to enjoy new works of domestic filmmakers," said Dmitry Kharatyan.
