Cosplayer Ayaal Fyodorov and his team have created a bogatyr (hero) Nyurgun Bootur from the Olonkho epic. The two-meter tall figure will greet the guests of the International RUSSIA EXPO at Yakutia’s stand.

Among the variety of oral poetic works of the Yakuts, the outstanding bogatyr epic Olonkho holds a special place. The poems of the epic are named after their main characters: "Er Sogotokh", " Myuldyu the Strong", "Nyurgun Bootur". Nyurgun Bootur is a brave bogatyr who fights monsters from the lower world to protect the human world.

"All the achievements of the republic will be shown through the sacred meanings of the Yakut epic Olonkho, which will connect Yakutia’s past, present and future. At the center of the exposition is the sacred tree Aal-Luuk Mas, which is a symbol of the trinity of the world. At the entrance, all guests will be greeted by virtual heroes of the Olonkho epic in different languages. In the cultural zone there will be an exposition dedicated to the Olonkho in digital format: pictures, texts with musical accompaniment — folklore songs", — informed the congress center of the republic.

It should be reminded that a traditional Yakut wedding is also planned to take place at the region’s stand. TV director Vladislav Fedorov and actress Zhanna Ksenofontova will tie the knot in marriage.
