On April 9 and 10 at the RUSSIA EXPO, urban planning experts discussed how innovations in urban amenities improve the quality of life of Moscow residents. Director of the Center "Russian Cluster Observatory" of the NRU HSE Evgeny Kutsenko and Director General of the Center for Communication Technologies "Agglomeration" Leonid Bratkin spoke at the meetings.
In the space of Moscow, urban planning experts talked about how comfortable urban environment is created with the help of modern technologies. Thus, on April 9, Evgeny Kutsenko, Director of the Center "Russian Cluster Observatory" of the NRU HSE, spoke about innovative trends that will turn the idea of urban infrastructure upside down in the near future.
The guests of the meeting learned about promising projects in the field of smart cities, transport systems and construction, environmental sustainability and urban metaverses. Metaverses are an emerging global technological trend, supported by such giants as Seoul and Dubai. It is a digital space in which a simulation of real life is created. With the help of a virtual double, the latest urban systems can be tested, such as more convenient transport routes, neighborhood layout, and environmental stresses. In addition, "metropolis online" helps to form a line of virtual public services, develop digital tourism, reconstruct the pristine appearance of cultural heritage sites and much more. The announcement of the new platform "Meta Moscow" took place at the Moscow Urban Forum - 2023.
A special role in the development of infrastructure in the coming years is assigned to biotechnology and robotics.
"Digital and green technologies are the most rapidly developing and numerous. They permeate all promising technological trends and have a determining influence on their development," the expert said.
On April 10, Leonid Bratkin, Director General of the Center for Communication Technologies "Agglomeration" talked to the guests of Moscow space about the latest trends in urban planning and the method of participatory design, which allows citizens themselves to create demanded and comfortable urban spaces - yards, parks, public gardens. The speaker told the guests about the interesting experience of work in twenty metropolitan districts, tools of participatory design, showed successful examples of space transformation.
The visitors learned what the participatory design method is and how it allows Moscow residents to create projects of yard improvement, organize convenient and popular public spaces by themselves. The key idea is the involvement of direct users in the process: residents, local communities, activists, representatives of administrative structures, local businesses, investors, etc. Professional architects help to realize the ideas and desires of citizens. The pilot launch of the program "Designing the District" took place in 2020 - five trial yards were organized: in Maryino, Bibirevo, Kuzminki, Losinoostrovsky and Ryazansky districts.
You can choose an interesting meeting with an expert in the schedule of events. The RUSSIA EXPO takes place on the territory of VDNH and is open from Tuesday to Thursday from 10:00 to 21:00, from Friday to Sunday from 10:00 to 22:00, Monday is a day off.
