Games of
the final stage of the Russian Ultimate Championship among student teams
2023-2024 "Constructors Cup" started at the stadium in the Ostankino
Park. During two days - April 28 and 29 - 20 teams of the open and 12 teams of
the women's division will determine the winner.
The competition is held with the support of the International RUSSIA
EXPO and the all-Russian physical culture and sports public organization
"Russian Flying Disc Federation".
Teams from
universities such as the National Research University Higher School of
Economics, Moscow City Pedagogical University, Moscow State University of Civil
Engineering, N. E. Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow State
Technological University "Stankin", Lomonosov Moscow State
University, Novosibirsk State University, First St. Petersburg State Medical
University named after Academician I.P. Pavlov, Russian Technological
University MIREA and others are competing for the cup.
The
competition among student teams has been held since 2011, and in 2014 it was
expanded with a women's division, said Nikita Klochkov, Director of the
"Constructors Cup 2024". During the year, students from different
universities of the country meet at competitions in Vladimir and St. Petersburg
- the results of these tournaments influence the formation of the final stage
grid. Ultimate itself is a non-contact sport with a flying disk - frisbee. The
goal of the teams is to pass the disk into the opponent's zone and catch it
there. At the same time it is not allowed to run with the disk.
"An
important distinguishing feature is the spirit of the game. It lies in the fact
that there are no referees in the game and players must treat each other
fairly. All fouls, physical contact and other controversial situations are to
be discussed and resolved on the field. For maintaining the spirit of the game
awards are announced according to the results of tournaments - the teams
themselves give each other appropriate marks," said Nikita Klochkov.
According
to the results of the games on April 28, the teams that will take part in the
playoffs were determined. After the end of the first game day a tour around the
Exposition was held for all interested participants. The champion will
be determined on April 29.
A panel discussion "Integration of the Special Military Operation Heroes into Civilian Life" was held at the National Centre RUSSIA as part of the 3rd All-Russian Municipal Forum "Small Homeland — the Strength of Russia".
Among its key events were the signing of major agreements, the Twin Cities Forum, and the festival of cultures "Heart of the Motherland", dedicated to the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia.
Guests not only observed the process but also asked the craftswomen about the meanings and the everyday life of the Khanty and Mansi peoples.
