Health Day events were held at the International RUSSIA EXPO. A delegation from the Samara region took part in the business and educational program.
"Today at the exposition almost every pavilion will present events that will allow you to learn a little more about the industry aimed at providing medical care with products. There will also be blocks of questions related to scientific developments and social support for the older generation," said Health Minister Mikhail Murashko, opening the Health Day at the exposition.
Armen Benyan, the Samara region's Acting Minister of Health, noted that at the RUSSIA EXPO the regions present achievements in the healthcare sector, which have become possible thanks to the national project "Healthcare" implemented by the decision of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. "And the Samara region has many things to be proud of. Active work to strengthen the industry in the region is carried out with the support of Governor Dmitry Igorevich Azarov. We systematically improve the medical infrastructure: in recent years we have built more than 150 facilities, completely renovated 445 units, about 15,000 pieces of equipment have been supplied to medical institutions, renewed the fleet of ambulance and emergency medical aid vehicles," he said.
According to him, medical workers of the Samara region master and implement advanced methods of diagnostics and treatment, Samara scientists develop innovative educational and applied products. In the center of attention is the work of primary healthcare, early detection of diseases and their prevention.
At the stand of the Samara region visitors were welcomed by medical volunteers. Samara State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation presented its flagship innovations in the field of telemedicine and endoprosthetics.
Three variants of telemedicine cases using the Health Check-Up platform for remote monitoring of patient's physiological parameters were developed by the Institute of Innovative Development of Samara State Medical University. The platform allows to automatically collect and transmit objective data from medical devices (tonometer, glucometer, digital phonendoscope, pulse oximeter, ECG, etc.) to the attending physician in real-time mode for quick response to the slightest changes in patient's parameters and their control in real-time mode. One of the cases presents a phonendoscope developed at the SamSMU IID - a medical diagnostic device for auscultation (listening) of sounds coming from the heart, vessels, lungs, bronchi, intestines and other organs.
Telemedicine cases and the Health Check-Up platform are used in the federal project "Personal Medical Assistants" for monitoring blood pressure in patients in a number of Russian regions.
The exposition also presents individual endoprostheses, which are manufactured taking into account the anatomical features of patients. They are produced both serially and individually at the Research Institute of Bionics and Personalized Medicine of SamSMU on the site of the University's Center for Serial Production.
The products created at SamSMU are used in practical healthcare in Russia and supplied to 12 countries of the world. SamSMU's high-tech developments and the opportunities they offer for practical healthcare, patient treatment and student education are the drivers of medical and educational tourism to SamSMU and Samara region as a whole.
"Such a system should exist in all regions, it is a great contribution to our medicine. It is good to see that such projects are being developed, saving time and human resource solves many issues," shared their impressions the guests of the stand, who could undergo a medical check-up and question the specialists about the innovative developments.
