Foreign Open Dialogue essayist: "Mother Russia has welcomed us very warmly"
Francisco Tuñez, a semi-finalist of the II Open Dialogue, twice referred to Russia as "Mother", thanking our country for its warm hospitality. The guest from Argentina also noted that the event offers participants a unique chance to unite, regardless of the differences between countries and cultures.
"It is wonderful that we have come here from so many different countries, and Mother Russia is welcoming us very warmly. And I can emphasise and repeat this once again — 'Mother Russia'. Because although I am from Argentina and I love my country, I also have very warm feelings for Russia," admitted Francisco Tuñez, a semi-finalist of the II Open Dialogue in the "Investments in Connectivity" track, PhD in Global History, and co-founder of NetX Gen (Argentina).
The foreign essayist also highly praised the significance of the Open Dialogue in forming a new, just world order.
"The Open Dialogue is a unique, amazing event. Today, in times of crisis, when the old world order is collapsing — effectively dying — the Open Dialogue provides the people of the Global South with a wonderful opportunity to unite. Here, we can communicate, exchange ideas, and discuss existing megatrends. After all, our countries share common problems, whether they are in Africa, Latin America, Asia, or even the West. And today, we have all the technologies and tools to build a new world order in the best sense of the term. That is why we are here, expressing a collective will to build this new world together, despite the differences in our countries and cultures," Francisco Tuñez added.
The Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth" is an annual international event initiated by the National Centre RUSSIA in partnership with the Centre for Cross-Industry Expertise "Third Rome" and with the support of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation. This year, for participation in the II Open Dialogue, authors from 98 countries submitted 1,638 essays addressing topical issues: the impact of artificial intelligence on humans and the future of professions, demographic challenges, the institutional crisis, digital equality, migration, and the accessibility of education.
The Russian leader noted that the ideas born at the Open Dialogue will continue to spread and will ultimately lead to real change.
On the first day, idea pitching sessions were held across four vectors: "Investment in people", "Investment in connectivity", "Investment in technology", and "Investment in the environment".
