The work of the Ministry of Sport of Chuvashia at the RUSSIA EXPO has approached its equator. A week and a half full of various activities is already behind. And now it is safe to say that the greatest popularity and well-deserved attention of the guests of the republic's stand were earned by craft board games.
At the moment, there are a total of 16 games presented at the site. But, as the host of the exposition of the Ministry of Sport of Chuvashia, sports commentator Mikhail Mikheev admitted, from April 16 to 21 the assortment will be supplemented with two more craft games, one of which was made by masters from the Republic of Belarus.
"We want to surprise everyone and present two top games in the third week. We kept them "for dessert" and will bring them from Cheboksary in the coming days," said Mikhail Mikheev.
The peculiarity and uniqueness of craft games is that all of them are handmade from valuable wood.
"We stand for environment protection. All our games are wooden, and we try to make accessories for them from environmentally friendly material," said game technician Tengiz Smirnov.
In addition to Belarusian craftsmen, specialists from the Samara and Vladimir region worked on the creation of most of the games presented at VDNH. And one board game was fully developed and produced in Chuvashia. Moreover, in their work, the authors also took into account how to place their game comfortably. They designed a folding table that is comfortable in height, width and weight specially for it.
"It's a '21 Ball' game. Its essence is that players take turns picking up one, two or three balls from the field. The balls can be taken from anywhere on the field and in different variations. The loser is the one who is the last to take the ball from the field," added the host of the exposition of the Ministry of Sport of Chuvashia.
Four or five games are presented at the site every day. But one of them is permanently exhibited at the stand of the republic. It is a board game "4 in a row", or, as many guests of the exposition say, a kind of analog of tic-tac-toe. In it, two rivals take turns placing chips of blue and red colors in a vertical panel. The winner is the first to collect four chips of his color vertically, horizontally or diagonally.
