Love — in all seasons and times: a new performance at the RUSSIA EXPO
The play "Love. All Seasons" performed by young actors of the Student Theater Workshops of Lomonosov Moscow State University was held at the RUSSIA EXPO as part of "The Most Reading" Literature Festival.
"We can be considered the descendants of the famous Student Theater of MSU, we are 30 years old this year, and we believe it is a gift to our anniversary to have today's performance at such a large venue as RUSSIA EXPO, as part of a wonderful literary festival," said Irina Kozhevnikova, artistic director of the Student Theater Workshops of Lomonosov MSU.
On the stage, the actors recreated the atmosphere of the 1960s, consistent with the hit songs "In Our Tard" and "Beauty Queen" performed by Joseph Kobzon and Muslim Magomaev. In big and small towns and villages, on platforms and in trains, friends and girlfriends met, strummed guitars, sang, danced, flirted, and, of course, talked about love. Whether time is finite and whether feelings are immortal — these are the main questions that the main characters of the production tried to answer.
"Love is usually talked about in poetry, that's why we decided to look for relevant subjects that are close to us in the works of famous poets. As for love — it is present in all seasons and tempers. It can please, it can hurt, it can, like the seasons, go away and come back. We have chosen a large number of names — the performance includes poems by Voznesensky, Pasternak, Shpalikov, Kushner, Drunina and many other poets. And all these poems are more or less selected and elaborated by seasons, that's why we called our performance "Love. All Seasons," said Irina Kozhevnikova.
Literature Festival "The Most Reading" is the first festival in Russia, which combines modern theater, cinema, music, literature, book publishing, as well as programs for children. One of the authors of the idea is director Konstantin Bogomolov. The first three blocks of the Festival were held at the RUSSIA EXPO from March 8 to 10. The fourth special block is a program of educational events about literature and beyond from the Festival's partner — the Russian Society "Knowledge".
The first event to be held at the Russia National Centre, which is being established by the order of President Vladimir Putin, will be the International Science Fiction Symposium and Exhibition "Inventing the Future". The symposium will take place from November 4 to 6.
Tomorrow, the International RUSSIA EXPO will conclude its work. From November 2023 to July 2024, it was visited by more than 18 million guests.
Every day, for eight months, the RUSSIA EXPO delighted guests and gave unforgettable emotions.
