Marat Khusnullin at the National Centre RUSSIA: 25,000 facilities restored in Donbass and Novorossiya
Infrastructure in the reunified territories has been restored with the involvement of the entire country since 2022. The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Marat Khusnullin, discussed this on 26 August at the meeting "Motherland Is People. Quality Housing and Transport Infrastructure" at the National Centre RUSSIA.
"Twenty-five thousand facilities have already been restored, and roads have been built. Incidentally, federal roads have already been brought up to standard. We are now actively commissioning utility infrastructure and carrying out major repairs to housing. Despite the special military operation and all the difficulties, work there continues every day," emphasised Marat Khusnullin.
He noted that 82 sponsor regions and the largest government contracting authorities are involved in the work. The Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted the experience of rebuilding Mariupol and the work under way in the Severodonetsk agglomeration, which includes Severodonetsk, Lisichansk, Rubezhnoye and other cities.
The meeting was held as part of the National Centre RUSSIA's original project "What Does the Motherland Begin With?". Participants included representatives of the public, the construction and road industries, and youth organisations. The meeting explored how the development of housing and infrastructure helps create the conditions for comfortable living and enables regions to realise their potential.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised the need to integrate all modes of transport, including making greater use of railways for passenger services.
The third meeting in the "Motherland Is People" series was held on 26 August at the National Centre RUSSIA as part of the All-Russian project "What Does the Motherland Begin With?".
