Large families visited the National Centre RUSSIA at the invitation of the Head of the Republic of Karelia
On 31 January, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted a
delegation of five large families from the Republic of Karelia. The trip to
Moscow took place at the invitation of the Head of the Republic, Artur
Parfenchikov. Last year, the families received certificates for visiting the
Days of the Republic of Karelia at the National Centre RUSSIA during a state
awards ceremony.
Before the start of the guided tour, Artur Parfenchikov met
with the parents and their children. The participants thanked the Head of the
Republic for the opportunity to visit the capital together as a family.
"The main value of the Republic of Karelia is its
people, and above all, large families. I would like to express my deep respect
to parents for your contribution to raising children and introducing them to
cultural and spiritual values. You are raising worthy citizens of Russia,"
Artur Parfenchikov said.
Among the guests were the Filippov family from the village
of Vedlozero in the Pryazhinsky district. In 2024, Lyudmila Filippova was
awarded the honorary title "Mother Heroine". Together with her
husband, she is raising twelve children: four of them are already adults, while
the youngest is three years old.
Another four families who visited the capital were awarded
the Order of Parental Glory medals in 2025. The Head of the Republic stressed
that support for families with children is one of the key priorities of the
Government of Karelia.
A rich programme was prepared for the families during their
stay in Moscow. The main event was a guided tour of the National Centre RUSSIA,
including a visit to the exposition of the Republic of Karelia. In addition,
the guests will see the main landmarks of the capital.
The event took place as part of the Days of the Republic of
Karelia. They are being held at the "Book of Fairy Tales" exposition
at the National Centre RUSSIA from 26 January to 1 February.
