The New Jerusalem Museum has been included in the list of Russia's achievements
The New Jerusalem Museum in Istra, Moscow region, is competing for victory in the contest of projects "Russia — Land of Achievements". It is the largest museum in the Moscow region and one of the largest in the country.
Now "New Jerusalem" works in an unusual building built according to the principles of "green architecture", that is, with minimal impact on nature. At the same time there are all the conditions for the exposition: there are more than 10 thousand square meters of display space. More than 190 thousand items are placed here, and along with permanent expositions the museum regularly organizes temporary ones. For example, in recent years it was possible to see masterpieces by Aivazovsky, Shishkin, Levitan, Picasso and many others here.
Modern technology makes it possible to supplement the expositions with multimedia. The museum moved to the current building in 2014 from the New Jerusalem Monastery.
As of today, "Metrowagonmash" JSC, Russia’s largest manufacturer of subway cars, is leading in the voting for the Moscow region’s achievements. Also in the top is the genetic agricultural laboratory "Miratorg", one of the best in the world.
