Apartment music gig and masterclasses: what awaits guests of the Moscow space at the RUSSIA EXPO

Visitors will be able to paint a wedding kokoshnik, make a carrier pigeon and a historical costume, listen to the memories of front-line soldiers, performances by artists and take part in a quiz on the history of the capital.

You can spend the next weekend in an interesting way in the Moscow space at the International RUSSIA EXPO. Here, for the second week in a row you can get immersed into the history of the city, recall significant events of our country and get acquainted with good traditions.

On May 9, the day of the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, guests will be able to take part in a quiz about the Hero City of Moscow, listen to the melodies of the war years and make origami post doves. In the evening the artists of the theatrical project "Live Saturday" will organize a musical party, where they will present the military capital through the eyes of cultural figures. The guests will hear the memories of theater and film actors Vladimir Etush and Vera Maretskaya, front-line poets Konstantin Simonov and Bulat Okudzhava, as well as songs of Moscow militiamen.

The atmosphere of the past epochs will be recreated on May 10 together with the "Tvorilki" (lit."Creators") workshop by the participants of the masterclass on historical costume. Fashion industry expert will talk about timeless classics and current trends.

People's Artist of Russia singer Larisa Dolina will perform in the program "Musical Journey through the history of Moscow" on May 11. The cultural heritage of the city will come alive in familiar melodies. People's Artist of Russia, theater and film actor Andrei Sokolov will talk about historical cinema and his significant roles.

On May 12, on the Second Easter Sunday (called Red Hill in Russia), which resumed the season of weddings after Lent and Easter, a masterclass on painting wedding kokoshniks will be held. Participants will learn about historical and modern customs associated with the holiday of creating a new family. In addition, the People's Artist of Russia, theater and cinema actor Alexander Galibin will share his view on the history of Moscow.

The International RUSSIA EXPO works at VDNH from Tuesday to Thursday from 10:00 to 21:00, from Friday to Sunday - from 10:00 to 22:00, Monday is a day off. Moscow Space is located in Pavilion No. 75. Admission to the events is free, no additional registration is required.
