"Invitation to Karachay-Cherkessia” exposition was presented at the RUSSIA EXPO

The “Future in Flowers” festival was launched at VDNH in the pavilion of the International RUSSIA EXPO. Within the framework of the festival 89 flowerbeds of all regions of the country, more than 100 million flowers, over a hundred floral expositions, unique floral art objects were prepared.
The head of KCR Rashid Temrezov said that the exposition from the republic “Invitation to Karachay-Cherkessia” first of all reflects the diversity of flora of the region. The composition, saturated with a bright palette and consonant with the local coloring, is complemented by the main decorative element - the sculpture “Invitation” by Khamzat Krymshamkhalov, which has become a symbol of openness and friendliness.
“Hospitality is a calling card of the peoples of Karachay-Cherkessia. The flower garden reflects the nature of the region, invites you into its warm embrace. Mountain stones as a symbol of protection and support, warm green pine needles - as the comfort of a native home, flowers - as purity and modesty," said the head of the region.
In the “Future in Flowers” workshop you can also see the best achievements of Russian breeders: about 400 varieties of peonies, 140 varieties of lilacs, 120 varieties of irises, 250 varieties of roses, 30 varieties of dahlias and other flowers and plants of Russia. Each territory is symbolized by a certain plant - for example, wheat stands for the Stavropol region, and lily of the valley represents Udmurtia, because it was the favorite flower of Tchaikovsky, who was born in the region.
The “Future in Flowers” festival at VDNH will be held until July 8. Guests can relax in green walking areas, take part in masterclasses, enjoy floral fashion shows. Fascinating quizzes will be held for the youngest ones.
