The prospects of young people in science were discussed at the RUSSIA EXPO
The second
day of the special track of the All-Russian Forum Rosmolodezh.Grants "Peakof Possibilities" started in the "Home of Youth". The program
was opened by the meeting with a scientist, a member of the Coordination
Council for Youth Affairs in scientific and educational spheres of the
Presidential Council for Science and Education Alexei Fedorov.
Alexei
Fedorov noted that popularization of science plays an important role in its
development. In this case, it is also about mass culture - TV series, movies
and popular science books. According to him, they create a certain image of a
scientist in young people and explain scientific issues in an accessible form.
This leads to the fact that young people consciously choose to study
fundamental disciplines - and their interest and openness change the form of
classes: more and more often they turn into a dialog. All this leads to new
opportunities for the realization of aspiring specialists.
"The
key to the development of science is its close connection with the economy and
society. It answers the question of how our world works and opens up new
technologies, enriching people with knowledge. Therefore, a young person is
free to choose where they want to be. If they cannot live without opening the
veil of the mystery of the world, it is, of course, socially beneficial
activity. If people have an interest to realize their knowledge in some product
- then they have all possibilities for this. These vectors can help to
determine the choice of professional path," said Alexei Fedorov.
Grants and
prizes have a great impact on the development of science, he emphasized. They
give specialists an opportunity to get acquainted with representatives of
business and scientific community, who can give a new impetus to research
activities.
All-Russian
Forum Rosmolodezh.Grants "Peak of Possibilities" is held for the
second time. It started on May 5 in Nizhny Novgorod. Its educational program
runs from May 6 to 8. One and a half thousand people take part in the forum -
representatives of all regions of Russia, as well as the Republic of Abkhazia.
These are the winners of Rosmolodezh's 2020-2023 grant competitions among
individuals, representatives of non-profit organizations, universities, as well
as ambassadors, experts, mentors, coordinators and potential participants of
the Rosmolodezh.Grants project. Eight directions were prepared for them -
#develop, #involve, #direct, #inspire, #train, #mentor, #unite and #join.
Two special
projects - "Climbing the Peak of Possibilities" and "Conquering
new Peaks with Rosmolodezh.Grants" - will be realized within the framework
of the forum. 10 participants of the in-person program, online broadcasting and
the forum program at the International RUSSIA EXPO in the "Home of
Youth" will have the opportunity to visit Sofia Lakes in the Republic of
Karachay-Cherkessia, another 10 people will be able to participate in a special
program from Rosmolodezh.Grants at the Exposition. A stand program from
Rosmolodezh.Grants partners and five regions of the country - the Nizhny
Novgorod region, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area, the Tula region, St. Petersburg
and the Yaroslavl region - is also organized.
The National Centre RUSSIA is offering a new family tour with quiz elements — "Architecture is the world we live in," based on the exposition "The Birth of Scale".
At the INNOPROM 2025 International Industrial Exposition in Yekaterinburg, the Department Store of the National Centre RUSSIA showcased products from regional manufacturers.
