Joint Russian-Chinese scientific and educational projects will be presented at the RUSSIA EXPO
On
Saturday, June 15, in Pavilion No. 57 "Education. Decade of Science and
Technology" at VDNH, during the International RUSSIA EXPO, a presentation
will be held about the largest international project of Lomonosov Moscow State
University — the Joint University MSU-BIT in Shenzhen, China (also known as
SMBU).
Leading
Russian scientists will discuss Russian-Chinese scientific cooperation in
fields such as chemistry, biology, artificial intelligence, economics, and
international relations. They will also address the training of young
specialists in China based on the best Russian educational programs, which are
essential for economic projects in the Asia-Pacific region.
Speakers at
the event will include Alexei Maslov, Director of the Institute of Asian and
African Studies at MSU who is responsible for implementing educational programs
at the Centre for European and Asian Studies at MSU-BIT; Stepan Kalmykov, Vice
President of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Chairman of the MSU-BIT Board
of Directors; Vladimir Popov, academician and Scientific Director of the
Biotechnology Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences and head of
the "Structural and Synthetic Biology" department at the Faculty of
Biology at MSU-BIT; Alexander Ilyin, Dean of the Faculty of Computational
Mathematics and Cybernetics at MSU-BIT, and other representatives of the
Russian-Chinese university.
Prospective
students and their parents will have the opportunity to interact with
representatives from MSU-BIT faculties, ask questions about admissions and
study processes, and get detailed information from current Russian students
studying in Shenzhen via a live teleconference. The teleconference will also
feature a virtual tour of the unique campus of the Joint Russian-Chinese
University.
