Saratov presented events dedicated to Yuri Gagarin at the RUSSIA EXPO

The stand of the Saratov region hosted lectures, quizzes, virtual tours to memorable places of the Saratov region associated with the name of Yuri Gagarin, masterclasses on making postcards, "space" jewelry, cosmonautics emblems and origami stars.
In addition, the Chernyshevsky House Museum brought a traveling exposition "The Museum that Gagarin visited". The exposition contains photos from the museum's funds, manuscript materials about one of the interesting pages in the history of the Chernyshevsky House-Museum - the visit of Yuri Gagarin and his wife Valentina Ivanovna to the cultural institution.
At the stand of the region visitors could see the "space" food, the original of Yuri Alekseevich's work book, details of the Vostok-1 descent vehicle.
Saratov is closely connected with the name of the first cosmonaut of the planet. Here Yuri Alekseevich took his first steps to conquer the sky, here he landed after his first space flight. At the place of Gagarin's landing in the Engels district there is now the Park of Space Conquerors.
