On the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, the Far Eastern
Academic Symphony Orchestra performed the musical-poetic composition
"Requiem. Eternal Glory to the Heroes" based on the eponymous poem by
Robert Rozhdestvensky set to music by Kuzma Bodrov on the Main Stage of the
International RUSSIA EXPO.
"Requiem. Eternal Glory to the Heroes" is a
heroic-lyric piece about the war, a kind of spiritual testament to future
generations, urging them to remember the fallen heroes and cherish peace.
"Today, the Far Eastern Academic Symphony Orchestra — a
collective of the Khabarovsk Regional Philharmonic — is on tour in Moscow. At
the RUSSIA EXPO, we are performing a significant piece dedicated to the
mournful date of June 22, 1941 — 'Requiem. Eternal Glory to the Heroes' by
Kuzma Bodrov based on the eponymous poem by Robert Rozhdestvensky. It is a
great honor for our collective to perform at such a grand event as the Exposition,"
said Alexander Veretennikov, Artistic Director of the Khabarovsk Regional
Philharmonic.
The Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Far Eastern
Academic Symphony Orchestra is Anton Shnitkin, and the artistic word is
delivered by theater and film actor Stepan Kulikov.
