Put on masks and get enough sleep: the Ministry of Health exposition explained how to stay healthy
It is always
unpleasant to be sick, but at the end of winter it is very easy to find
yourself on sick leave because of an injury or acute respiratory infection. In
Pavilion C "In the Service of Health" you can learn how to maintain
an immune system and take care of yourself.
In winter,
the risk of injury increases, so it's more important than ever to exercise
caution, avoid ice, don't walk under roof arches, and wear comfortable shoes.
Respiratory infections are another common cause of health problems.
"As a
protection method, masks are always relevant. The main thing is to wear them
correctly: do not touch them with dirty hands and change them every two hours.
Few people follow this rule, and therefore do not see the effect. One also
should not neglect hand antiseptic," said Norik Sarkisyan, an
anesthesiologist-resuscitator.
In
addition, the doctor reminded that it is also very important to support the
immune system. And for this purpose, first of all, it is necessary to have a
good sleep. Sleep deficiency not only reduces the body's defence functions, but
also accelerates the aging process, leads to irritability and reduces
concentration, negatively affects the hormonal system.
"It is also imperative to normalize nutrition, eat more vegetables and fruits, especially seasonal. But I would not advise eating a lot of sauerkraut, for example. Because of the greater amount of salt, it is useful only for healthy people. And if you have kidney problems or hypertension, it is prohibited," said the doctor.
By the way, at the exposition of the Ministry of Health the doctor introduces guests to the rules of first aid, explains how to work with people who need resuscitation care. Even a person ignorant in medicine can save a life if he acts competently.
Let us remind you that the exposition of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation "In the Service of Health!" presents the history and development objectives of the medical service until 2030. Here you can also take part in masterclasses, try yourself as a doctor, and undergo self-diagnostics.
