Research of Siberian scientists will be showcased in the "Journey Across Russia" project
Guests of
the large-scale project "Journey Across Russia," which will kick off
at the National Centre RUSSIA on March 1, will learn about the developments and
discoveries of Siberian scientists. A dedicated area within the exposition will
be devoted to the Siberian Federal District, showcasing the natural beauty,
economic achievements, and future plans of the region.
Special
attention will be given to the advancement of science, including one of the
district's main achievements — the Baikal Neutrino Telescope (Baikal-GVD). This
experimental complex helps physicists study natural streams of neutrinos. The
telescope operates at a depth of 1,300 meters in Lake Baikal, with the aim of
distinguishing neutrino particles from other particles. Particles arriving from
distant space contain crucial information for the future of science and allow
for understanding the mechanisms of galaxy formation and other cosmic objects. And
this is just a small part of what the Siberian Federal District will use to
amaze visitors at the National Centre RUSSIA.
Young participants of the workshop "Modelling — a Prototype with Your Own Hands," held on May 31 at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The history of Russian architecture, bold concepts, and Soviet urban planning projects realised across the globe were presented to delegations of the exposition on May 31.
The award ceremony for the winners of the All-Russian video essay contest "Dreams of the Future" will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA on June 1, International Children's Day.
