New exposition dedicated to professions of the future opens at the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye Territory

A new exposition titled "Primorye of the Future. Job Bank" has opened at the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye Territory. It presents large-scale projects that are transforming the Territory and shaping its development for years to come. The exposition introduces visitors to promising regional projects, including the Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex, the Primorye Nuclear Power Plant, the Museum, Theatre and Education Complex on Orlinoye Gnezdo Hill (Eagle's Nest Hill) and the Arsenyev all-season resort. A separate part of the exposition is dedicated to the people who will bring these plans to life.

The opening ceremony was attended by the First Vice-Governor and Chair of the Government of the Primorye Territory, Vera Shcherbina; the Minister of Tourism of the Primorye Territory, Natalia Naboychenko; the Minister of Vocational Education and Employment of the Primorye Territory, Sergei Dubovitsky; and other honoured guests. 

"The exposition presents prospects for the next five to ten years and helps visitors develop a clear understanding of the future labour market. Historically, fishing, port operations and mining have traditionally played a key role in the Primorye Territory. Today, the focus of development has shifted considerably, and these new priorities are precisely what we have reflected in the exposition. Visitors can literally 'try these professions on for size': find out in which cities they are in demand, what salaries are offered and what tasks they will be expected to perform," noted Vera Shcherbina in her welcoming remarks.

One of the exposition's key sections is the "Talent Pool" stand, which uses artificial intelligence to show which professions are shaping the new economy of the Primorye Territory and links them to local employers and training opportunities. The bank contains vacancy profiles from various sectors, from mechanical engineering and IT to tourism and sport. The professions featured include robotic welding technician, UAV operator and other in-demand career paths. 

"We will regularly update both current and future vacancies, because the situation in the labour market changes every day: some vacancies disappear, others emerge and new employers enter the market. The second important objective is to improve the quality of the job listings themselves. What do I mean by that? The single word 'welder' is not enough to interest a potential applicant. It is important to provide details: what benefits are offered, the salary level and the prospects. We are working to ensure that every vacancy is as informative, clear and appealing as possible. I believe this stand addresses these objectives well: it provides an initial understanding of how people can realise their dreams and ambitions and what the labour market has to offer. Alternatively, it may encourage them to consider improving their qualifications so that they can apply for more promising positions," noted the Minister of Vocational Education and Employment of the Primorye Territory, Sergei Dubovitsky. 

The first visitors to the new exposition were, of course, students and teachers from the secondary vocational education system. They are the ones currently building the workforce capacity required by the regional economy.

"I was amazed by the scale. I think this exposition will provide excellent guidance for school students: it will help them choose a future profession, spark an interest in industries such as shipbuilding or energy, and perhaps even help them find their vocation," said Dmitry Abramov, a student at the Far Eastern State College of Humanities and Technology. 

"The projects presented here offer secondary vocational education students new employment opportunities in the energy sector, shipbuilding, the creative industries and tourism. Our college trains music teachers and primary school teachers, so our students were particularly interested in the stand featuring the Museum, Theatre and Education Complex. When students see the scale of the changes ahead and understand how their specialism fits into the overall development of the Territory, it becomes easier for them to make informed decisions about their professional path," noted the Director of the Vladivostok Teacher Training College, Alexandra Tarasova.

The new exposition has been added to the main guided tour route at the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye Territory and is open to visitors from today. Registration is available on the website.
