SamSMU developments were presented during the Health Week at the RUSSIA EXPO

A week dedicated to health was held on April 16-21 at the International RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH. During these days, at the stand of the Samara region the guests were welcomed by volunteers of the medical university "Reaviz", leading specialists of the industry delivered lectures, employees spoke about the developments of SamSMU.

During the week experts delivered interesting lectures: on modern cellular and reproductive technologies, high-tech types of medical care and use of the unique system "Gamma Knife" in patient treatment, on advanced technologies in obstetrics and gynecology, on development of endoprostheses in SamSMU, on educational programs and staff training and many other things.

Syzran Medical and Humanities College Director Lola Kasymova was among the experts of the thematic exposition week.

"Syzran Medical and Humanities College is one of three large professional educational organizations in the Samara region, which trains specialists of medical profile. We are the only ones on the territory of the Right Bank of the Volga. The college trains specialists in the programs of "general medicine", "nursing", "obstetrics", "laboratory diagnostics" and "pharmacy". Annually we train more than 200 medical workers. At present 1500 students are undergoing training, 76% of which are students of medical specialties. This year our graduation will amount to 300 people, - said the expert. - The grandiose RUSSIA EXPO is an excellent platform where we can talk about healthcare, training of specialists, and the importance of the main profession on earth - the medical worker".

The stand of the Samara region was visited by the Minister of Health of the Samara region Armen Benyan and Rector of SamSMU Alexander Kolsanov.
