Moscow's cultural code, exclusives from the Tretyakov Gallery, creative projects of ZIL: experts will talk about the historical and cultural heritage of the capital at the RUSSIA EXPO from April 18 to May 31.
Days of Historical and Cultural Heritage will be held in the capital from April 18 to May 31. The main goal of the campaign in 2024 is to reveal the modern life of Moscow monuments, as well as to get acquainted with the estate heritage. Moscow space will join the cultural campaign and organize a series of entertaining events for the guests of the RUSSIA EXPO.
So, on April 18 - the International Day for Monuments and Sites - representatives of the Moscow Department of Cultural Heritage will share secrets of the city's care for old manor houses, profitable houses, industrial buildings, memorial apartments in the context of modern technological challenges. Besides, this day there will be masterclasses on painting restoration with the State Research Institute for Restoration (GOSNIIR) specialists and on architectural postcard - the participants will create collages from archive images of old Moscow monuments.
On April 19, Marina Kravchenko, director of visitor services at the State Tretyakov Gallery, will be the guest of the Moscow space. The expert will tell what inspires the main museum of national art of Russia today, and will also share plans for 2024 - including the opening of new sites and expositions.
On April 20, the capital's stand will present "Top 5 Creative Projects of the ZIL Cultural Center". Marina Rybalchenko, deputy director for general issues of the cultural center, and Violetta Yaroslavtseva, curator of the special project "Accelerator ZIL.Start", will introduce the audience to a new format of development of a large-scale art space - from historical club formations to the accelerator of creative initiatives.
Days of Historical and Cultural Heritage have been held in Moscow since 2001. The events start on the eve of April 18 - International Day for the Protection of Monuments and Sites, and end closer to May 18 - International Museum Day. Every year during these spring months Moscow residents and tourists get an opportunity to visit historical mansions, monuments of industrial architecture, objects of religious architecture and garden and park art free of charge. In 2024 the campaign will be held for the 24th time.
