"Bringing together global intellect is the key to solving global challenges": Brian Gleeson on the Open Dialogue
Global
challenges can only be addressed effectively through joint efforts and the
exchange of experience between representatives of different countries and
cultures. This requires spaces for open dialogue such as the National Centre
RUSSIA, where the culture and achievements of each country are presented.
"Global
problems require the consolidation of the world’s intellectual potential.
People come to the Open Dialogue from different countries, bringing diverse
experiences and perspectives. Only through communication between
representatives of different cultures and approaches can we reach a shared
understanding and develop solutions to challenges that affect everyone. The
fact that this event is taking place in Russia does not surprise me at all, as
the country has always been at the forefront of such initiatives," said
Brian Gleeson, Manager at the Radisson Collection Paradise Resort & Spa,
Sochi.
According
to him, the future is being shaped at the National Centre RUSSIA, where important
discussions are taking place, and the existence of such a space is of great
significance. He believes that every country should have a similar centre
showcasing its potential, culture and unique characteristics.
"This
is an excellent example of how to introduce people to the scale of a country,
its geography, culture and traditions. Similar centres should be established in
other countries as well," he added.
Brian
Gleeson took part in the II Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. A New
Platform for Global Growth", which is taking place from 27 to 29 April.
On the first day, idea pitching sessions were held across four vectors: "Investment in people", "Investment in connectivity", "Investment in technology", and "Investment in the environment".
On 27 April, the II Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth" commenced at the National Centre RUSSIA.
This year, 102 authors from 43 countries advanced to the in-person stage following interviews.
