Perm region has expanded its assortment in the Department Store at the RUSSIA EXPO

One of the projects of the RUSSIA EXPO is the Department Store of Russian Brands. The exposition is located in the center of Pavilion No. 75 next to the stand of the Perm region.
According to the organizers, the Department Store offers both historical national handicrafts and crafts and modern goods from all regions of the country.
The Department Store Directorate selected only a couple of brands from each region of Russia for its collection. The three brands representing the Perm region include a line of products of craftsmen "Permskaya Dikovina" ("Perm Curiosity").
The young brand "Permskaya Dikovina" was created only two years ago - within the framework of the regional program for the development of folk arts and crafts of the Kama region and, first of all, thanks to the support of crafts activities by the regional authorities and personally by the Governor of the Perm region Dmitry Makhonin. The brand represents handmade products by masters of artistic crafts, where each product is unique and has its own history.
Products of traditional stone-cutting and pottery crafts, woodwork, as well as items of hand-stamping on fabric were presented for the RUSSIA EXPO Department Store.
According to the terms of the project, only a few products were exhibited in the hall of the Department Store, but during the exposition "Permskaya Dikovina" attracted a lot of interest from the visitors, and Perm residents were offered to expand the presented line of products.
Today the exposition will be decorated with Obva painted items as well as artel dolls.
Tatyana Sannikova, director of the "Gubernia" PHFA, said that the artel dolls " Permians" and "Tanka with Vanka" show the traditional peasant costume used in the Kama region. "The dolls are made by the golden hands of Perm craftswomen who continue the craft traditions of the Kama region. "Permians" miniature will decorate both the nursery of a modern child and the collection of adult doll aficionados," she added.
Tatyana Sannikova noted that Obva painting as a craft is now being revived. It decorates products delicately, differing in color palette and peculiarities of execution. "Used in the Obva River area, this peasant painting - "Obva Rose", as the artists call it - is characteristic of the region, it is in many museum collections and has become a distinctive feature of many souvenir products of the Perm region. The Obva rose can be considered a "revived craft" that has been given a new life by the efforts of the creative team of the Perm House of Folk Art "Gubernia" and enthusiastic artists," said Tatyana Sannikova.
We would like to remind you that in the Department Store at VDNH you can also find Nytven cutlery, in particular "Nytven spoons", Lysven enameled tableware, as well as the first art toy of the Russian city - a polygonal bear made by Perm designer and artist Igor Goryachev.
